8 Maura Olivos from the Alta Environmental Center gave a tour of the restoration project that Alta is undertaking. WEST is designing a field trip that will engage kids in collecting data in the restoration area, learning about the local ecology, and participating in the actual restoration itself.

9 Fellows Dan Anderson, Zachary Gill, Joe Seamons, and teacher Amanda Mantis show off their intact egg after prematurely being announced the winners of the low-mass collision contest. Photo evidence showed that their egg had actually detached before the mechanism hit the wall causing them to be disqualified (oh, the shame of it all!).
