RESEARCH INTERESTS
I enjoy working with beautiful zircons found in Archean gneisses from the Kapuskasing Uplift in the Superior Province. By applying the principles of stable isotope geochemistry, I am able to unravel their history and geologic journey. I also plan to unite zircon images and isotope data with ArcGIS to understand the spatial distribution of isotope values in a zircon grain.

I look forward to opportunities to get young students involved in learning geology and other sciences.  Field trips and activities enhance learning in ways classroom instruction cannot. I believe it is important for the youth of today to understand and become aware of human-environment interactions along with the geologic processes which determine the location of earthquakes, floods, fertile soil, and energy resources.
