Since studying Geology at the University of Colorado,I have worked aboard research vessels, and taught at Columbia University's Biosphere 2 Center and the Yosemite Institute.  These experiences have reinforced in me the value of education to inspire a connection between students and their world --  from relevance, comes transferance, grows enthusiasm for learning.  I enter Project WEST passionate about making science exciting for students in order to establish connections with and a greater appreciation for the world around them.
