My interests lie at the interface between disturbance biology and behavioral ecology. I study how disturbance regimes such as fire and grazing affect behavioral interactions between individuals by altering habitat complexity and resource distribution. I use host ants and their specialist ant-decapitating parasites in this research.

I have always been interested in conservation and community outreach, and I'm excited to help students learn about the natural world around them.
