1. Choose a unique plant (could be a tree, shrub, or other plant).
2. Draw a picture of that plant (focus on what makes it unique).
3. Describe your plant in one sentence.
4. Count how many of your plant are growing around the wetland.
5. In comparison to other plants in the wetland, would you say that your plant is common (grows all over the place), or not common at all (only grows in one place)?
6. Is your plant taller or shorter than most of the other plants in the wetland?
Part 2: Track Treasure Hunt
1. Look for animal tracks in the mud or soft dirt in the wetland. Use the Animal Tracks Identification Sheet to identify which type of animal tracks you found!
2. How many tracks did you find in all?
3. How many different types of animal tracks did you find?
