Thank you for your participation in Project WEST (Water, the Environment, Science and Teaching).  Among other things, your WEST fellow will bring to your classroom enthusiasm for sharing the wonders of science, new ideas and lesson plans, field trip opportunities, and an extra set of hands.  We hope that you and your fellow will have an exciting and productive relationship as you work together to inspire students to "do science".  Please read the WEST Lead Teacher Agreement for a more complete explanation of your role in WEST.

As a WEST lead teacher, you and your school have access to a fund for field trips and activities that are conducted in conjunction with your WEST fellow.  In order to access this money, your WEST fellow should fill out an Expense Request Form, explaining what the money will be used for.  How this money is utilized at each school is up to the lead teacher and the WEST fellow.  Because this fund is limited, it is expected that the lead teacher's class/grade will be given priority for its usage.
