State core curriculum requirements addressed:
For information on core curriculum requirements go to the
Utah State office of Education Science website
or the
Salt Lake City school district’s Science website
.
WEST Objectives and Involvement:
Explain how the lesson incorporates the Water and the Environment theme (you can be liberal here, part of WEST is also Science and Teaching so that leaves it pretty open). Also indicate how you, as a WEST Fellow, are specifically involved in the planning and execution of the project.
Intended Outcomes:
List anticipated observations and discoveries.
Materials:
List all supplies needed to implement experiment or trip. Make sure to attach any Powerpoint presentations you created. Include a map of field trip stops.
Attachment:
Attachment:
Project, Lesson, or Trip Description:
Step by step description of procedure or field trip stops. Include pictures with descriptions for field trips. Also, list the time required for the lesson/trip.
Comments:
What went well, what didn’t go so well, what you would have done differently, etc.
Other Resources:
You may want to include a list of websites or literary resources.
