FIELD OF STUDY
Seismology
BACKGROUND

- Ph.D. Earth Science, 1999, University of California, Santa Cruz
RESEARCH INTERESTS & PROJECTS
My research is focused around data recorded by the Utah Regional Seismic Network/Advanced National Seismic System. Projects include strong-motion seismology, including attenuation and site amplification of seismic waves; crustal structure of the eastern Basin and Range; coal-mining induced seismicity; and remote triggering of earthquakes. A promising new area of research involves the analysis of infrasound array data.
