Geological Engineering Graduate
The Geological Engineering Program currently offers Masters of Science (M.S.), Masters of Engineering (M.E.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Geological Engineering.
Important note for graduate students pursuing a career in geo-engineering:
According to the Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors Licensing Act Rules issued August 15, 2006 by the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing, a maximum of one year of qualifying experience towards Professional Engineer licensure may be granted for completion of a masters degree in engineering at an institution that offers an undergraduate or graduate engineering program accredited by EAC/ABET.
According to the Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors Licensing Act Rules issued August 15, 2006 by the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing, a maximum of two years of qualifying experience towards Professional Engineer licensure may be granted for completion of a PhD degree in engineering provided that both the earned bachelors or masters degree and doctorate degree in engineering are with an institution that offers and undergraduate or graduate engineering program accredited by EAC/ABET.
